A Vibrant Community
Edgewater is a lakefront community located on the North Side of the city of Chicago just a few miles from downtown. Edgewater boasts several beaches that residents enjoy during the late spring, summer and early fall. It is the northernmost starting point for the long 18 mile bike and walking trail that travels along the waterfront of Lake Michigan. Accompanied by uniformly tall, grand locust trees lining the road, Edgewater’s portion of Sheridan Road contains mainly diverse high-rise residential buildings leading north to Loyola University.

Resident bikers and walkers alike enjoy easy access to Chicago’s 18-mile Lakefront Trail that connects Edgewater to Lincoln Park, downtown Chicago, and Hyde Park.
